About Give Local

What is Give Local?

Give Local South Puget Sound is an annual online giving campaign that promotes community generosity and collaboration as we all come together to support nonprofits across Lewis, Mason, and Thurston counties. During Give Local, everyone who loves the South Puget Sound can boost their favorite local causes by donating to one or more participating nonprofits or volunteering to help nonprofits reach their fundraising goals.

Since 2017, our communities have raised $3.9 million to care for and support local nonprofits through Give Local. Those nonprofits have used the funds to care for our communities by turning them into meals, winter clothes, children’s books, medicine, shelter, solar panels, healthy lands and rivers, music, art, and so much more!

Hosted by the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound on spsgives.org.

The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound welcomes your partnership and willingness to join us in our work of inspiring philanthropy that makes a difference in our communities. We believe that Give Local, an initiative of the Community Foundation, is an easy and fun way for community members to support local nonprofits while engaging with their community. You never know what you will discover when you visit spsgives.org and explore all of the nonprofit story pages.

Give Local 2023 Community Report

Thank you to our community donors, sponsors, and nonprofits for being part of our annual celebration of local giving. In 2023, the campaign raised a whopping $938,938. Together, we gave, and together, we made our communities stronger, and that is definitely worth celebrating!

Participating in Give Local is as much an act of joy for the donors of Give Local as it is for the participating nonprofit that transforms that gift into an act of caring, reinforcing our community's ability to adapt, prosper, and thrive. All raised funds raised during this campaign go directly to local nonprofits making life better for people in our communities through meals, winter clothes, medicine, therapy, shelter, solar panels, forests, farmland, healthy rivers, music, art, and so much more.
