Give Local South Puget Sound is an annual online giving campaign that promotes community generosity and supports nonprofits across Thurston, Mason, and Lewis Counties. During Give Local, everyone who loves the South Puget Sound can give an extra boost to their favorite local causes by donating to one or more participating nonprofits.
Over the years, our communities have raised more than $2 million through Give Local to care for and support local nonprofits. Those nonprofits have used the funds to strengthen our communities by turning them into meals, winter clothes, children’s books, medicine, therapy, shelter, solar panels, forests, farmland, healthy rivers, music, art, and more.
The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound inspires philanthropy and helps donors give back in ways that matter to them. Since its founding in 1989, the Community Foundation has awarded more than $19 million in grants and scholarships in support of communities throughout Thurston, Mason, and Lewis Counties.
Give Local is happening this year from November 6-17. Nonprofit registration opens in July.
Thank you to our donors, sponsors, and local nonprofits for being part of our annual celebration of local giving. Together, we celebrated the 'gift of giving' and raised an incredible $792,469 through meaningful gifts of all sizes from community members across our region. Community philanthropy truly is a gift!
Giving is as much an act of joy for the donors of Give Local as it is for the participating nonprofit that transforms that gift into an act of caring, reinforcing our community's ability to adapt, prosper, and thrive. All raised funds went directly to local nonprofits making life better for people in our communities through meals, winter clothes, medicine, therapy, shelter, solar panels, forests, farmland, healthy rivers, music, art, and so much more.
