Standing Against Racism and Injustice

Our hearts are breaking for the family of George Floyd and so many other people who have experienced similar racially-motivated injustices. It is important to acknowledge the trauma, anger, and frustration that so many are feeling.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the devastating disparities in our society. But these inequities are not new. They have existed for centuries.

At the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound, our mission is to inspire philanthropy. We know that we have extensive work to do to help create communities where everyone - regardless of skin color - belongs, is safe, and can thrive.

Today is the time to listen, educate yourself, and take the next step in your own work to help create communities where everyone feels safe and is treated humanely regardless of their race.

If you are interested in supporting organizations working towards social justice and anti-racism initiatives, contact us.
