About this Scholarship

Elizabeth graduated from North Thurston High School in 1997 and the University of Washington in 2002 with double majors in Political Science and Communications. During high school, Elizabeth competed in Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Diving. She served as ASB Historian, Yearbook Editor, and French Club President, culminating with a class trip to Paris. She was selected by her class to speak at Commencement. She was a proud NTHS Ram. She loved the outdoors; especially trips to the Olympic and Cascade mountains with Mt. Rainier as her favorite destination. She loved to travel, fish, run, and spend time with her family. She completed the New York City marathon in 2008. She is the great-granddaughter of Millard A. and Edith L. Libby of the pioneer Libby family for whom Libby Road and Libby Creek in Thurston County are named. She touched many lives with her generosity, compassion, and empathy.
