About this Scholarship

The Amanda Winters Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Amanda Winters, a Capital High School senior who lost her life in a tragic accident in 2013. Its purpose is to assist graduating Capital High School seniors in obtaining a higher education.

Key Criteria

Graduating senior from Capital High School; cumulative GPA between 3.0-3.5 required. Must demonstrate financial need and community involvement. Preference will be given to students planning to pursue a teaching degree.

Select the "Apply Now" link above to submit your application using the Community Foundation’s universal application. Creation of a user id and password is required.

Please note that the following items are required as part of the application process:

  • 2 Letters of Recommendation
  • Grade Transcript
  • FAFSA Submission Summary/ WASFA Financial Aid Offer
