Scholarships Available for 2010

 Donors John and Opal McGimpsey, with grandsons Daniel and David, presenting their 2009 Scholarship to Christina Wichman, North Thurston High School graduate. |

| Background: | John and Opal established this fund in the belief that education is important and that scholarships of significant dollar value would help conscientious students remain more focused on their studies. |

| Background: | The Montgomery family established the Dan R. Montgomery scholarship fund in 2003 to encourage young women and men to pursue higher education. |

| Key Criteria: | The fund focus is on students who wish to pursue the honorable profession of law enforcement officer. The scholarship is limited to Thurston County High School seniors. Those attending a Washington state institution will be given preference. |
